Internship Program Expands for Medical Assistants and Radiologists
Aspiring medical assistants and x-ray techs will be able to obtain hands-on clinical training and volunteering opportunities at Healthpointe
Healthpointe is excited to announce that they are expanding their hands-on training program, and are now accepting students that are studying to become medical assistants and radiology technicians. Students may intern at any Healthpointe clinic located throughout Southern California, including La Mirada, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Colton, Temecula and more.
“Healthpointe understands that the demand for medical assistants and radiologists has grown exponentially in Southern California,” says Healthpointe’s Medical Director, Dr. Ismael Silva. “That is why we are expanding our internship program to accommodate students and prepare them in their transition from academics to clinical practice.”
The prior medical internship program was designed specifically for undergraduate and graduate students looking to complete their physical therapy internship and nursing internship. However, Healthpointe’s internship program has recently expanded to cover the two other clinical fields. The three-month internship program prepares aspiring medical assistants and radiologists and offers candidates a competitive advantage upon completion of their studies. Internships are customized for each individual student based on the student’s availability, the mentor’s availability, and the department’s acceptance.
Healthpointe has collaborated with numerous medical schools in the past by offering internships for students who are planning a career in the health service industry. The list of schools include Concorde Career College, American Career College, Brightwood College, Modern Technology School, American College of Healthcare, and Jem College.
Students may visit Healthpointe’s La Mirada corporate office for more information on how to gain hands-on clinical training or contact Healthpointe directly at 888-824-5580.
