Department of Transportation Physicals Now Available at Los Angeles Healthpointe

Healthpointe, one of Southern California’s leading medical groups, is now offering Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals at its newest location in La Tijera. The physicals, made for all commercial drivers, are now available throughout Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino County, and Riverside County.

Department of Transportation physical exams are an integral part of the regulations set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and ensure that all commercial drivers have achieved the physical performance necessary to safely operate vehicles. Healthpointe’s La Tijera clinic is now offering exams that may identify various hidden mental, physical, and emotional conditions that can be detrimental to a driver’s performance.

Healthpointe’s DOT physical exams consist of a variety of tests including tests that check for: vision, spine deformities, neurological disorders, hernia, and blood pressure. Other provisions included dipstick urinalysis, and a medical and occupational history questionnaire form. Patients who successfully pass the DOT test are allotted a certificate valid for up to two years.
