Healthpointe’s new LAX location is now treating basketball injuries through their Orthopedics and Sports Medicine programs, for hamstring strains, ankle sprains, tendinitis, ACL injuries, meniscus tears, and muscle strains. Whether they play for school, professionally, or for fun, Healthpointe knows that basketball players are prone to injury, and need designated medical attention beyond that of a regular orthopedic doctor.
Players with leg or radiating knee pain may be experiencing hamstring strains, for which Healthpointe in LAX offers comprehensive exams and treatments. After a certified sports medicine doctor has assessed and diagnosed the athlete with a hamstring strain, and after all conservative care has been extinguished, the doctor may recommend minimally-invasive orthopedic surgery treatments. During a hamstring repair treatment, the surgeon will reassign the torn tissue back into its original place, and stitch the tendon to the bone.
