Healthpointe Welcomes Orthopedics Specialist, Dr. Michael J. Chuang
Dr. Michael J. Chuang, an orthopedic surgeon and a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist, has recently been welcomed to the Healthpointe family. With his expertise in minimally-invasive arthroscopic and reconstructive treatments of the knee, hip, and shoulder, Dr. Chuang is dedicated to caring for patients with sports and orthopedic-related injuries. Dr. Chuang will be practicing out of Healthpointe locations in Orange County, Los Angeles County, and the Inland Empire.
An Orange County native, Dr. Chuang received his Medical Doctorate with honors at Drexel University, College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He then completed his orthopedic surgery training at the State University of New York in Brooklyn, where he was a chief resident at a major Level I New York City Trauma Center. After his residency, Dr. Chuang returned to California to complete his fellowship training in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine at the Sports Clinic in Laguna Hills.
Dr. Chuang’s many accomplishments include serving and volunteering as a physician for high school and college sports teams. He has also published numerous science and clinical research articles studying the causes and treatments of orthopedic pathologies. Dr. Chuang is an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
