Dr. Gregory K. Toumayan, D.C., Q.M.E., is now treating patients with back pain and associated symptoms, such as radiating pain resulting in shoulder pain, hip pain, neck pain, stiffness, muscle spasms, and numbness.

Dr. Toumayan received his Bachelor of Arts in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, and then went on to earn his title of Doctor of Chiropractic from the Palmer College of Chiropractic and spent his residency as a chiropractor for chiropractic radiology at the Rock Island Clinic in Illinois. Dr. Toumayan is a certified quality medical examiner and an experienced technique department instructor and clinical supervisor.

Chiropractic care involves the manipulation of the spine to perform a quick, specific stretch of those joints that are not moving properly. This stimulates the Golgi tendon organs and stretch receptors, which tell the brain to let go of the overly tight muscles around the joints. Manipulation of the spine also could gently break up any minor scar tissue.
