Welcome Doctor Matha!

Dr. Anirudh Matha is the latest member of Healthpointe’s team of medical professionals. Dr. Matha
completed his undergrad at the University of Maryland in 2014. He went onto medical school at Saba
University School of Medicine in in Saba, Dutch Caribbean in 2022. He completed his residency and
fellowship at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, where he was able to train within one of the largest
health systems in Pennsylvania. While there, he had access to the latest innovative technology, and was mentored by some
of the most highly regarded and trained professionals in the field.

Dedication

Dr. Matha has a lifelong tie to the medical field and has been in very close proximity to the good done by
doctors since he was a child. “My grandfather, who was a general surgeon, would take me with him to his
clinic routinely where I got to see patients from all walks of life. Something that really stuck with me over time
was that a lot of the patients he had performed surgery on would come back over the years all complaining of
chronic pain… That always was in the back of my mind throughout my medical journey, and obviously when I
got to do my pain medicine rotation, I knew instantly that it was exactly what I was meant to do.”

Specialization

Dr. Matha specializes in several interventional pain procedures, including genicular nerve, sacroiliac joint, and
greater trochanter bursa ablations, spinal cord stimulator trials, major joint injections, lumbar, thoracic, and
cervical rhizotomies, cervical and lumbar epidurals, and minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD).
