Healthpointe welcomes Doctor Chris Katcherian!

Healthpointe is proud to add Dr. Christopher Katcherian to our roster of medical professionals. He is a double board-certified
Hand, Wrist, and Microsurgeon with over 15 years of clinical experience. He specializes in diagnosing and treating both acute and
chronic conditions of the hand and wrist. Known affectionately as “Dr. K” by his patients, he has dedicated his career to the highly
specialized care of the hand and wrist.

“I decided I wanted to become a doctor while I was in high school. During that time, I had the opportunity to gain exposure to clinical
work and research across multiple medical specialties, particularly in surgical fields… These early experiences solidified my passion
for surgery and shaped the direction of my medical career.”

After beginning his medical journey in his youth, Dr. Katcherian pursued training at the University of California, Irvine, and then earned
his medical degree from New York Medical College. His most formative phase of training thereafter was an Orthopedic Hand, Wrist,
and Microsurgery Fellowship at Columbia University, where he trained under world-renowned leaders in the field.

Dr. Katcherian quickly realized in his career that he had found his life’s calling. His method while working is to focus on attentiveness,
warmth, and prioritizing patients. He believes that every single one of his patients deserves time, respect, and individualized care. His
patients have consistently described him as thorough, unrushed, and invested in their well-being.

With developed and nuanced expertise in surgical and nonsurgical care of the hand, wrist, forearm, and soft-tissue elbow injuries,
Dr. Katcherian treats a full range of conditions, from simple to complex, and from elective to traumatic. He is particularly interested in
minimally invasive procedures and wrist arthroscopy. He appreciates the intricate, special, and diverse nature of hand surgery, which
blends orthopedic, plastic, microvascular, and soft-tissue principles.

When asked what drew him to hand surgery, Dr. Katcherian points to both the complex anatomy of the hand and wrist and the
opportunity to practice across multiple surgical disciplines while building lasting patient relationships. Whether in the clinic or the
operating room, he finds fulfillment in the variety and challenge of each case, knowing no two patients or their stories are ever
the same.

“My favorite part of being a doctor, and specifically a hand surgeon, is the ability to provide meaningful relief to patients quickly and
to see the results of treatment early on. It is a dynamic field that allows for close communication with patients and for making rapid,
tangible improvements in their quality of life.”

Here at Healthpointe, we look forward to the excellent medical care Dr. Katcherian can provide to our patients. Please help us
welcome him to the Healthpointe team!

“Above all, I love the personal connection I build with my patients. That relationship is one of the most rewarding aspects of being
a physician.”
